The aim of this text, influenced by post-structuralist and post-critical perspectives, is to reflect on the formative process and the professional performance of a transsexual teacher, based on policies/politics and practices of gender and body regulation and subjectification established in the field of education. A qualitative approach was used through a narrative interview with Lohanna, in which she exposes her experiences of violence and suffering, as well as her achievements and struggles as a student and as a teacher. Her narratives indicate that the destabilizations caused by transgender people, nevertheless with great damage to them, enable deconstruction and unlearning of gender regulations; and propose to educational institutions the ethical imperative of transforming their violent and exclusionary practices.
