The study analyzed the contents of undergraduate courses in physiotherapy in Brazil and Portugal in a perspective of curriculum internationalization. Study of multiple and integrated cases with documentary analysis of the syllabuses/ study plans of five courses in Brazil and four in Portugal, through semi-structured interviews with managers and focus groups with professors in each country. With the help of NVivo, the word count technique was used and thematic content analysis was performed. The contents comply with the national and international guidelines for training in physiotherapy in both cases. There were approximations between the five most cited contents by area. The convergence of contents allowed pointing out ways for the internationalization of the curriculum, with suggestions for contents in the areas of knowledge integrating different areas of knowledge. Furthermore, internationalization strategies at home should be encouraged, as they enable all students to be benefit.
