In this article we address the manifestation of faulty actions - also known as parapraxes - in the reading and writing processes of a child with learning difficulties, observed during the clinical practice, from the perspective of Freud’s The Psychopathology of Everyday Life. That way, we can analyze the supposed mistakes that occur in the written work of that child from a psychoanalytical perspective, with the knowledge that the faulty actions talk about the truth of the subject. Such reflections have made it possible to cast a new light on the errors in speech and writing, in addition to pushing us toward a change in our clinical practice.
