This article is the result of research on the Integral Education Program in a high school institution in the city of Juazeiro, whose purpose was to understand how full-time education happens to verify assertions, possibilities and challenges. To do so, were consulted; Cavaliere (2010); Manacorda (2017); Teixeira (1959); Yus (2002) among others. This is a case study in a qualitative approach, which made use of document analysis; systematic and unsystematic observation; semi-structured interviews with teachers and a questionnaire with students from the 3rd of high school, for thirty days, from February to March 2020. The results reveal the contradictions between conceptions of integral education and the Program; a physical structure that does not contribute to classes with practical experiences; and an educational policy with by goals aimed at better results in exams.
