The objective of this investigation is to propose indicators of the social quality of Higher Education in the arrangement of the emerging context of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. As methodological strategies we use the qualitative approach supported by documentary research in the investigation of institutional and bibliographic documents in the recognition of the theoretical accumulation of the field of institutional evaluations through the bias of critical studies. The results of the investigation indicate the complex way in which the phenomenon of the social quality of education presents itself in the emerging context of the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology. The construction of the indicators took into account internal and external levels of structural dimensions specific to the institution, namely: Political Dimension, Social Dimension, Institutional Dimension and Pedagogical Dimension. The proposition placed in this investigation shows itself as a possibility of understanding the institutional reality from a look of its processes beyond the standardized metrics and indices, considering also the social quality of education as an element imbricated in the educational policy of the Federal Institutes of Education.
