The text, from the perspective of the first coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Education at PUCRS, in an interview, recalls points of the trajectory in the initial years of its creation. It brings forward categories that the theoretical field of Higher Education Management points out as basic and present in the movements in the core of the university and its relations, throughout its history. It also highlights paths and characterizations of the categories at different times, covering the inter-institutional, national, international, groups and networks. The text concludes that in the various relationships and in the formation of research groups and networks, PUCRS has glimpsed and acted creating possibilities that have strengthened its graduate courses, specifically in education, but also in other areas of knowledge through the structure of cooperation and sharing of information and mutual support.
