This article reports the pedagogical innovation in the approach of the Medical Ecology topic of the undergraduate course in medicine at the Severino Sombra University (USS). This approach was implemented through the syllabus of the subject Curricular and Community Integration System I, describing the contributions toward medical training with a broadened view of health, conscious of the interface between health and the environment.
