BUSKO, Paula Simone y KARAT, Marinilde Tadeu. TEACHING SCIENCE: THE ZIKA VIRUS AND THE FAKE NEWS - PROPOSITIONS FOR A TEACHING PRACTICE. Revista Teias [online]. 2019, vol.20, n.57, pp.332-347. Epub 18-Dic-2019. ISSN 1982-0305. https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2019.38798.
When new scientific controversies arise as the relationship between zika virus and microcephaly, which science cannot provide answers in the short term, the climate of uncertainty ends up favoring fear and insecurity in the population, giving way to the appearance of fake news. In view of the above, the objective is to discuss how scientific controversies have contributed to a climate of uncertainty giving rise to fake news. At the end, consider a proposal for a didactic roadmap for the development of a pedagogical workshop focused on the training of teachers in science education.
