MARGOTTI, Gláucia Guarezi y PANDINI-SIMIANO, Luciane. READING WITH BABIES: narratives about teaching and children's interactions with the book in daycare. Revista Teias [online]. 2023, vol.24, n.75, pp.306-319. Epub 26-Dic-2023. ISSN 1982-0305. https://doi.org/10.12957/teias.2023.65481.
The text focuses on analyzing what the pedagogical documentation tells about the teaching action and the interactions of very young children, from babies, with the book object in daycare. The research, developed in a qualitative perspective, was carried out within the scope of the master in education at a university in the south of the state of Santa Catarina. It had as subjects four teachers and a manager who work in early childhood education. Participant observation, written and audiovisual records, letters, documentation, and, above all, being together and with the teachers were the research instruments. From the dialogue between different authors, Benjamin, Rinaldi, Debus and Gonçalves, Pandini-Simiano, it is highlighted in the documentation that in the encounter of babies with books, they read with the body through all the senses. Although there is an effort by the teachers to make it possible for children to have access to books, there are still traces of a directive teaching action, more centered on the adult.
