The purpose of this article is to analyze the anti-democratic manifestations that have been occurring in Brazil at this historical moment, when the dominant capitalist system is the neoliberalism and its political representative is Jair Bolsonaro, the President of the country. Initially, two essays by Theodor Adorno will be analyzed - “Anti-Semitism and Fascist Propaganda”, from 1946 and Studies on Authoritarian Personality, from 1950, with emphasis on Scale F - Fascism Scale -, in order to extract the theoretical-methodological categories, that shed light on the dramatic social and political reality in which the country is immersed. Subsequently, with the intention of seeking outgoing perspectives, the text dialogues with three contemporary thinkers - Stuenkel, Lago and Brum - who present subsidies to analyze the authoritarian evidences that have been progressively established in the country and the possibilities to overcome them.
