TOTI, FREDERICO AUGUSTO y SILVA, ALESSANDRO COSTA DA. REASONS FOR SCIENTIFIC EDUCATION: AN ANALYSIS WITH PHYSICS TEACHERS FROM ACTIVITY THEORY. Ens. Pesqui. Educ. Ciênc. [online]. 2018, vol.20, e2613. Epub 14-Ene-2018. ISSN 1983-2117. https://doi.org/10.1590/1983-21172018200104.
We analyzed justifications for stable Scientific Education in literature, approaching them to the objective meaning category of Leontiev’s Theory of Activity, articulating them to personal meanings presented by Physics teachers. In the Historical-Cultural Theory of Activity, such analysis is equivalent to investigating the teaching work at a fundamental psychological level, observing the level of coherence between objective meanings and personal senses in the area of reasons’ construction for teaching. The results indicate partial inconsistencies between objective meanings and teachers’ personal meanings for Physics Teaching. We understand these partial inconsistencies as difficulty in effective construction reasons to perform an authentic activity, in this case, the main activity of a Physics teacher, the introduction of young individuals to the contemporary scientific culture.
