The paper aimed at the education strategies of the Pró-Letramento Program. There were analyzed 152 reports of 24 tutors from Rio de Janeiro and Rio Grande do Sul. The results pointed out that these tutors, sometimes still beginning to act as a person responsible for the development of teacher education experiences, have a capacity to contribute to teaching and learning situations based on school knowledge.
