The study discusses how the establishment of a new campus of the University of Brasilia, located in a city with a lower level of socioeconomic development, would have contributed to the democratization of access to the institution. With data obtained by means of a questionnaire, it used a multivariate analysis model (tree) with additional variables to those previously studied; it compared the social profile of students in the new campus with that of students of analogous courses in the main campus, as well as their satisfaction with the career. The new campus brought increased social inclusion but the students’ satisfaction may jeopardize the democratization project.
