NOVA, Taynah de Brito Barra y MACHADO, Laeda Bezerra. The objectification on process in social representations of school of children. Sér.-Estud. [online]. 2014, n.38, pp.93-106. ISSN 2318-1982. https://doi.org/10.20435/2318-1982-2014-v.38(07).
The representations are explanations of reality, created by two processes: anchoring and objectification. In this article discusses the process of objectification from a survey of the social representations of school among children. 60 of public schools in Recife, PE, children participated in the investigation. Content analysis guided the interpretation of data collected by interview and drawing. The results revealed the process of objectification of representation School masking elements and emphasizing others. The nucleus of this representation presented two faces: better life, reserved for the educated and the condition of inferiority, reserved for the uneducated. For children, the school is objectified as a source of overcoming adversity and social recognition.
