School management and democracy are the themes instigators of this work, which aims to analyze the process of management of a public school in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Based on the data collected in the management organizations of the school made a qualitative approach, in the methodological perspective of content analysis. The results showed that the school has formally the deliberative organizations provided in the Brazilian law. However, there is little participation of the school community, highlighting the absence of an effective Student Council and the lack of registration of the Circle of Parents and Masters.
