Knowing the adolescents teaching under creativity's perspective in a brazilian city. The purpose of this study was to verify if creativity is among the objectives chosen for adolescents process of teaching, and the ways of instruction use by these teachers to attainment and evaluation of these objectives, in Rio Claro, São Paulo State, Brazil.A sample was taken from the teachers population that are practicing teaching at 5º to 8º grade and also three years course comparable to the senior high school in U.S., at 1974. The influence of variables was considered such as age and kind of teachers training. The results show that: adolescents teachers have not a great concern about creativity, so only 17% among objectives are related to this characteristic; at the teaching of all schools there is tendency to convergent thinking, cognition and memory with results varying from 50% to almost 100%, showing that teaching is unbalanced if we think about complete education; the objectives choses by teachers are not the same for all the teaching areas; the kind of training and the teachers age are not influent factors to this choice; the ways of instruction are not appropriate to attain the objectives chosen by teachers; the ways used by teachers to evaluate the objectives are also unsuitable when these objectives are related to creative thinking.
