The author discusses the function of the supervisors, administrators, inspectors and counselors in the school system, trying to define their role as educators. He proposes that they rethink their specific role inside the school from the point of view of the global social context, where the popular moviments, including the ones that fight for the access to elementary instruction, are making their presence.
