MANTOVANI, Juliana Vechetti  e  CAIADO, Kátia Regina Moreno. Formação de professores para a escola inclusiva: contribuições da terapia ocupacional ao aluno com deficiência física. Educ. Puc. [online]. 2011, vol.16, n.01, pp.79-89. ISSN 1519-3993.

The objective of this paper is to analyze the contributions of Occupational Therapy to the schooling of physically disabled students in inclusive schools. The history of Occupational Therapy reveals a close relationship with specialized care offered to people with physical disability, making it possible for them to make contributions. The field research for this study was conducted in five municipal schools in Campinas; the tools for gathering data included a survey of the bibliography and interviews with teachers, principals, pedagogical coordinators and other school workers. The results show the guiding importance of sharing and the possibility of dialogue between Occupational Therapy and the school on a daily basis, in order to guarantee that the student with physical disability obtains his social rights, not only rights to access but also rights of permanency and achieving success at school.
