Given the environmental crisis that is observed in contemporary education has been regarded by many as a space conducive to dialogue and possible proposals for a new way of relating to nature. However, it can be observed that several products of the culture industry, like movies and cartoons are being used by teachers, especially in Elementary School without the necessary critical reflection of formative implications of their use. Thus, this article aims to discuss the action performed by the cultural industry in middle school, questioning the effect of semi-erudition in disseminating ideas and cultural values that instead of subsidizing the critical analysis of the relationship between society and nature ends up aggravating the environmental world crisis. It is also the reflection of the important role of the teacher in this process that aims changes.
