In Amazon riverside educational context, the teachers’ performance draws our attention due to the conditions and peculiarities they go through in their everyday pedagogical work. Ethics and attitudinal dimensions are present, once the teaching experience is constructed side by side with the students in a weave of subjective senses about school, about the act of teaching, about the educational responsibilities of everyone involved in such process. The article demonstrates based on riverside teachers’ narratives, the discussion about one of the most objective aspects, but not so clear, about the pedagogical activity: the perception about the students and the way to deal with the challenges they are to face which cross their doing. The research took the qualitative approach, gathering narratives of the three teachers of the public teaching system in riverside municipalities of Pará state. The study considered the assumption of narrative analysis by Fritz Schütze (2013). The results of the narratives' analysis indicate the necessity traditional meanings circulation about the family formation and the role it plays, frustration for the absence of objective conditions for docent's work accomplishment, fragility in teachers’ formation to understand and deal with the precarity that characterizes the trajectory of students' life.
