The objective of this article is to analyze the construction of the field of the history of education and the contribution of some women with regard to their recognition in Brazilian education. From the qualitative research, through documentary analysis, a search was carried out by the name of the educators, on the websites Google Book, Google Shopping, Estante Virtual, Amazon and Skoob using the keywords “history of Brazilian education” and, from the selection of “highlights” books, out of 33, 4 works were chosen for analysis. Also, a search on the Google Books website with the name of each educator. Subsequently, we carried out a search for the location of the works, based on a qualitative analysis, in order to understand if and how the educators are mentioned in the texts. As well as the search for works focused on the theme on the websites Google, Google Scholar and ANPEd. In this way, it was possible to verify that there is an absence of the names of influencers in the selected education history books, but there are researches and projects that seek to highlight the trajectories of women in the thematic field, from the point of view of valuing them as protagonists of education. in the country.
