This is a discussion about the politics of Field Education conducted by the National Education Program in Agrarian Reform - PRONERA (connected to the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform - INCRA and the Ministry of Agrarian Development - MDA) and the Department of Continuing Education, Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion - SECADI (attached to the Ministry of Education - MEC). Belong to the federal government and are held in partnership with the states and municipalities. We demonstrate the tensions and challenges of the experience of Education Field in the State of Piauí. In the Brazilian Constitution of 1988 municipalities were recognized federal entities, with the obligation to perform the elementary school and Early Childhood Education and the Law 9.394 of 1996 shall establish their Municipal Systems Education - SMEs; these processes are analyzed in the context of Education Policy Field
