This paper presents a report of a case study that examines a child, female, 9 years old, a student of 4th year of elementary education at a private school, complaining of difficulty in learning. As therapeutic interventions through the novelty associated with the school subjects, the observations were made of the results. It was concluded that educational strategies with activities involving music, words and symbols stimulate and facilitate the learning of reading and writing of children with auditory processing disorder. It is important that the teacher knows ol disorder to act in accordance with the needs of the child. It is suggested disclosure for education professionals and family members than is the auditory processing disorder and what teaching strategies possible in the school environment.
