SANTOS, Magda Cruz dos; GONCALVES, Leonardo Dorneles e PALUDO, Conceição. Public policy and integral education in Brazil: from national developmentalism to neo-developmentalism. Roteiro. UNOESC [online]. 2018, vol.43, n.3, pp.1027-1050. ISSN 2177-6059. https://doi.org/10.18593/r.v43i3.16422.
To demonstrate the contradictions of the main policies of integral education in the public school of Basic Education and to problematize their relations with the development of capitalism in Brazil they were the central objectives of this study. In order to do so, we analyze the intentionalities of the policies of integral education of the last years, supported by bibliographical research on the history of integral education in Brazilian educational policies, in dialogue with authors such as Falleiros, Pronko and Oliveira (2010), Shiroma, Moraes and Evangelista (2000), Frigotto (2000) and Cavaliere (2010). According to the intention of analyzing the conceptions of integral education in the so-called neodevelopmental model, we resorted to the first version of the Program: Mais Educação, which launched in 2007, lasted until 2016. The studies carried out allow us to analyze the politics of integral education in Brazil as an instrument that plays different roles in each historical period. However, it has become effective in relation to the objectives presented by the different forms of capitalist sociability and radically distancing itself from the historical, theoretical and practical that support integral education in the anti-capitalist perspective and human emancipation.
