This article introduces professor and researcher Bernardete Angelina Gatti, with the aim of discussing her contributions to Brazilian educational research, especially in the fields of teacher training, assessment and scientific methodology. In order to prepare this text, we carried out a survey of Bernardete's bibliographic production, analyzing her Lattes curriculum and other platforms such as Scielo, Google Scholar and the Anped Portal. We based our study on reading texts produced about her and also on the lives she gave during the Covid-19 pandemic. We also invited Bernardete to recommend publications, especially books, that could help us reflect on the scientific output of this researcher who is concerned about and committed to teacher training in Brazil.
