The research focuses on the academic biography of Liliana Soares Ferreira. The Professor, currently linked to the Federal University of Santa Maria, as a professor, has a vast contribution in teaching, research and extension, as well as described a (a) concept (category) of pedagogical work, providing feedback to the academic community in the production of the knowledge in contemporary times. Therefore, the objective was to narrate and reflect on the trajectory in the academic production of the researcher in Brazilian Education, Liliana Soares Ferreira. The theoretical-methodological study was developed, as a kind of meta-explanation, based on the Analysis of the Movements of Senses (AMS), from the techniques of bibliographical research and documental analysis. The bibliographic research dealt with authors who study the themes addressed in this article and the scientific production of the Professor; the documentary was carried out with the analysis of the author's curriculum on the Lattes Platform, visualization of the movements of senses of the categories developed by her, above all, "pedagogical work", in the texts published between 2019 and 2023. As a technique of analysis of the data produced, she applied the AMS itself. It appears, when narrating and analyzing Liliana's academic biography, that the researcher elaborated the concept (category) pedagogical work and, from it, identified some senses of the dialectic between the researched pedagogical work and the pedagogical work carried out, whose intermingled movements justify and enhance its trajectory, in (co)living with other subjects.
