The present work is the resulto f a re-evaluation of 31 partial reports which comprise a large research conducted in 1999 by GAME, the Educational Measurement and Evaluation Group of the School of Education of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), in the District School Network of Belo Horizonte where the Projeto Escola Plural hás been developed. The main purpose of this re-evaluation is to identify the effects of current public evaluation policies on pedagogical practices and evaluation processes developed in district schools. Our research brings to the surface “the realized”, highlighting “mismatches” (discrepancies) among policies and “mismatches” they caused in school practices.
