ALVES, Cláudio Eduardo Resende e PARAISO, Marlucy Alves. GENDER CROSSROADS IN A CURRICULUM-MUSEUM. ETD - Educ. Temat. Digit. [online]. 2023, vol.25, e023019. ISSN 1676-2592. https://doi.org/10.20396/etd.v25i00.8664911.
This article is the result of a research that investigates what we call a curriculum-museum with gender and its possibilities of learning in the collection of Memorial Minas Gerais Vale in Belo Horizonte/MG. Inserted in the post-critical studies of gender and curriculum, a methodology that articulated participant observation of the museum’s daily life was used with records in a field diary. The objective was to map the possibility of learning from the “gender crossroads” in the museum, that is, those moments when gender norms are put in check. A sewing machine and a metal watering can were selected as problematizing elements in theoretical and empirical research. The results indicate that a curriculum-museum can provide multiple encounters by producing displacements in learning about gender. Finally, the study points out the relevance of a curricular practice permeable to different world readings and different ways of existing.
