SCORSOLINI-COMIN, Fabio e PACIFICO, Soraya Maria Romano. The authorship and aural novel in Quase de verdade by Clarice Lispector. Educação. Santa Maria [online]. 2023, vol.48, e67931. Epub 08-Abr-2025. ISSN 1984-6444. https://doi.org/10.5902/1984644467931.
This study works with the notion of authorship from the listening reception, as proposed by MaríliaLibrandi in her concept of aural novel. From this theoretical position, the aim is to discuss the construction of the aural novel in the children’s book Quase de verdade, originally published in 1978, after the death of Clarice Lispector (1920-1977). The book is narrated by the dog Ulisses and the author positions herself as the one who can listen and interpret the canine language for the writing to take place. The work can be considered an aural novel because of the duplication of authorship (Ulisses-Clarice), because it is constructed as it is read, and because it is an open fiction that invites the reader to participate in this writing through listening and the creative act. In practical terms, this concept can contribute to the discussion about the construction of authorship with young readers, in dialogue with children’s literature.
