This text is interested in analyzing the contributions made by intellectual women to the field of psychology in Belo Horizonte, using their work in the Orientation and Professional Selection Service (SOSP) of Minas Gerais during 1950 to 1970. The methodology includes an analysis of the documentation available at the State Education University of Minas Gerais (FaE/MG), along with the periodic Brazilian Archives of Psychotechnics and interviews with former employees of the service. The data shows that the work was mainly developed by women, contributing to their education and future careers in teaching in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais. We understand that the study contributes to the formation of the field of Psychology History in Minas Gerais.
