PASSOS, Blanchard Silva e VASCONCELOS, Ana Karine Portela. Teaching Perspectives on Experimental Activities in Chemistry Teaching: an Exploratory Analysis. Rev. Ensino Ciênc. Mat. [online]. 2024, vol.15, n.1, a18. ISSN 2179-426X. https://doi.org/10.26843/rencima.v15n1a18.
This study focused on investigating the perception of Chemistry teachers about the use of experimental activities, with an emphasis on understanding the purpose of these activities in the context of Chemistry Teaching. The research, of a qualitative nature, involved the participation of 20 teachers who teach in high schools in the Public Education Network of the State of Ceará, located in the municipalities of Maracanaú, Pacatuba, Caucaia and Guaiuba. For this purpose, an online form on Google Forms was used containing the question: "In your opinion, what is the objective of the experimental activity in Chemistry Teaching?". Data analysis was carried out using Content Analysis, focusing on the participants' responses. The results revealed four categories that reflect the teachers' view of the objectives of the experimental activities: Relating Theory and Practice, Instigating student interest, Relating to everyday life and Acquisition and Fixation of Content. These findings provided useful information to improve educational practices in Chemistry, aiming to provide more meaningful learning for students.
