Resumen

ANDRE, Marli Eliza Dalmazo Afonso de. Um estudo da interação professor-aluno na 2ª série do 1º grau. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1979, n.28, pp.21-26. ISSN 0100-1574.

This study was an attempt to investigate the relationship between attention behavior of second-graders and their progress in reading. Two classrooms, one more tightly structured than the other, were observed once a week over a two-month period. Using an observation schedule validated ina previous study, the observer collected about 100 observations for each student by means of a point-time sampling technique. Results showed negative correlations between pupils inattention and reading achievement. The comparison between the two classrooms disclosed that pupils from the less structured classroom were less attentive but achieved later in reading than the students in the more structured classroom.
