The school performance of 500 children entering the first grade was studied in relation to the nutritional status and socioeconomic factors. A weak association was observed between the nutritional status and the school performance of the children. Among the studied variables, the socioeconomic were the ones that had the highest influence in the results. The set of variables explains 24, 2% of the variance of the results.
