The article is about the question of higher education in Brazil after the beginning of its enormous expansion in the last two decades. The author discusses the problems of privatization, inclusion of fees in the public school, decline in the quality of the courses, and the present situation of students’ evasion for lack of resources to pay school and of saturation of the labor market given the excess of professionals in certain fields.
