This study summarizes the main results from an exploratory qualitative research about attitudes, needs and interests of the students attending the elementary course for adults, offered by the Mexican State. The work was concentrated on the student's and their monitors evaluation of the contents of the textbooks used in the course, aiming at the gathering of subsidees for their remaking. Social and natural sciences were the areas most deeply analysed.
