This article examines critical points that are on the basis of the unsteadiness that schooling is facing today. It deals with essential changes that may enable a reversal of expectations for schooling reality. It approaches the issue of the subjective right to elementary school; the needto care for each school and not for a system in thesis; the ethical parameters to be carried out; the need of a culture of success instead of a culture of failure to public school; the role of evaluation and of participation. Based on these points, actions are proposed in order to upgrade schooling towards desirable quality changes.
