Several studies have shown the existent relation between the economical development of a country and the schooling level of its population. Countries where there is an efficient and high quality educational system shape qualified individuals apt to get into labor with a better productionability. In inefficient educational systems, as in the Brazilian one, investment is justified not only for its economical return as well as for the upgrading of its efficiency, most certainly causing a financial return due to the savings obtained with this upgrading. The results herein confirm this fact.Investiments in school-books, didactic material and physical conditions of the building - educational goods which may improve students learning since they favour a higher quality teaching - also increase the system efficiency through a better flow of students. This better flow minimizes the costs for a student's graduation because there is less waste in the system. The reduction in costs was larger than the investment.
