In these considerations, we have initially tried to register, based on previous works, how women get into elementary teaching and how they have turned this career into a female job domain, since the end of the century, in São Paulo. Following, we try to show, based on verbal reports andother documents, how the female majority is not represented in positions of control and upbringing of new professionals. These positions are still taken by men.
