Abstract

OLIVEIRA, Zilma de Moraes Ramos de  and  ROSSETTI-FERREIRA, Maria Clotilde. The value, for child development, of the interaction among children in day-care center. Cad. Pesqui. [online]. 1993, n.87, pp.62-70. ISSN 0100-1574.

A theoretical-methodological perspective based on a socio-interactionist approach to human development and using the concept of "role" guides the analysis of some interactional episodes of two groups of two to four years old children attending a day-care center. The episodes are presented in order to discuss the evolution of role coordination at this age period. A discussion is made about the functions of early peer interaction in the development of the child and how the day-care center can structure situations that favour its occurrence.

Keywords : Interação Criança-Criança; Creches; Desenvolvimento Infantil.
