This work discusses some of the most frequent difficulties faced by researchers doing field work in their use of qualitative based methodologies. The text aims to present problems such as defining the research universe, defining criteria to select who will be interviewed, developing and carrying out scripts, organizing and analyzing qualitative data etc. as a contribution to the discussion of the use of this type of methodology in the field of education.
