This study analyzed the temporal evolution of publications on doctoral supervision indexed in the Web of Science between 1998 and 2023, aiming to identify the thematic clusters within this body of scientific production. Bibliometric and content analysis methods were applied to examine 401 documents in the field of education. The findings revealed an exponential growth in the number of publications, with emphasis on topics such as academic mentoring, dissertation supervision, and academic writing. The analysis of thematic clusters highlighted the importance of the supervisor-supervisee relationship, the role of affiliation and control in supervision, and the need for professional development of supervisors.
