The main purpose of this article is to show the relevance of understanding the communication structure of visual texts. The positions of the subjects of enunciation (the enunciator and the enunciatee) are the main keys to analyze how visual texts reveals their meaning. The interactions between the enunciator and the enunciatee take shape in the different types of contracts between these two figures of discourse. As a result of those interactions, the construction of meaning creates sensations and feelings within the enunciatee, who also rationalizes it cognitively. These two ways of constructing meaning are not in mutual opposition, they are complementary, which leads us to establish correlations between types of interaction and types of meaning. A semiotic approach to these correlations offers a theoretical and methodological model to analyze visual texts.
