This study presents some reflections about the relationship between the city experience, from the Spanish perspective of “educative cities”, and school reality, particularly the processes of teaching and learning drama. The text presents elements aimed at highlighting the emergence and relevance of new educational spaces, helping to understand the contribution of drama for the development of children and young people of all ages, regardless of social or cultural conditions, and rethinking the role of educational institutions and other networks that weave the social and cultural web of the city in face of the challenges of contemporary education.
