Abstract

The Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA) governed the fundamental changes relating to children and youth established by the Constitution of 1988 and the Convention of the United Nations for the Children’s Rights. Advocating policies that articulate the juvenile justice, municipal government, non-governmental organizations and the community. The present article intends to analyze as this action occurs in the case of the socioeducative measure of “assisted freedom”. To do so, we elected the Freedom Program Assisted located in Belo Horizonte in 1988. The methodology was to conduct a survey (sample of 96 adolescents) and focus groups with the technical and social agents. The results indicate that, even facing great difficulties, as the shares on a network, its implementation affects the recidivism.
