In the present article we aim to emphasize the educational procedures linked to values, in this case, values linked to the environment that are not necessarily overtly employed in the formal educational process in their full complexity and amplitude. The Mexican educational system takes on environmentally related actions as part of the natural sciences, a focus already surpassed by other nations, including those considered less developed than ours. Obviously, this fact hinders the understanding of the environmental dimension of several serious problems in our nation, like consumerism, immigration, and social inequalities, to name some examples. In this article, we propose some instigative reflections that will instigate the rethinking of the current ethics centered in the present time along with their interpersonal relationships. This is for a future ethic that will have an emphasis in the relationship between human beings and their surroundings.
