This paper does a descriptive analysis of the features related to the Environmental Education as a transversal objective on the formal education system of Chile; meanwhile, shows an analysis that suggests the need of incorporating the perspective of Environmental Education as transversal objective, valuable and human on the teachers’ work. His analysis may be interesting not only to the educational researcher, but also to the person who develops educational guidance and the different types of teachers, worried about how to qualify the buildup of the student agent in the XXIth century. As a result, a new rule is demanded from the teachers´ activity, adopting a new concept of human responsibility for the community of students.
