This text is a reflection from the research that I have done with recyclers in the recycling association, in the urban outskirts of Porto Alegre/RS, according to my proposal for a doctoral thesis, under Program of Graduate Studies in Education at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. So, I bring some records and analyses based in my insertion in the field which makes me see the ambiguities, the contradictions, and the difference in the daily life of the shed. Also, I present a simple cutting of dramas and cunnings lived in this group, whose perplexity about the complexity points out the researcher to the need of adopting a sociology of emergences and a sociology of absences to contribute to the research on these recycling groups.
