Set up in the field of work and education, this article takes up some discussions found in academic literature about the concepts in technical education and Technological Education. Realizing the occurrence of various concepts assigned to such expressions, there is a survey for its multiple meanings. First, there is an approach to professional education, contextualizing it in the debate between work and education. After that, some of the identified meanings are presented, including linking them with the concepts of unitary school and polytechnic school, have some common points with the meaning of technological education, according to some authors.
