This article discusses the migratory flow of families and, consequently, of the students as a micro-social phenomenon that reflects the big changes that have been occurring in the contemporary society and that interferes significantly with the pedagogical action of teachers, especially those of Physical Education. The study evidences that understanding the deep change taking place in the current world can help Physical Education teachers to review their former pedagogical and social references from a new glance at the historical and social context and, thus, create new ways of dealing with the social changes whose effects are manifested inside schools.
