Sociologists have for some time become aware of the overemphasis on school to the detriment of diffuse education in general. It has given rise to a diversification of research subjects. This article is set within the framework of a widened sociological viewpoint on education. It takes for granted that education proceeds through insertion into relations and that each relation includes a triple dimension of installation, learning and socialisation.
